What is Gut Health?

There are trillions of microbes and bacteria that live in our digestive system, both good and bad. The role of microbiome in our gut is to support digestion, vitamin synthesis, manage weight and healthy immune function as mentioned.

The Microbiota is so complex that is still being uncovered by researches. The gut microbiota is made up of:

This might sound scary, but I think it’s good news. Basically, just by focusing on our gut we can be the healthiest version of ourselves. What’s even better news is that the microbiome can be noticeable altered within 2-5 days of diet and lifestyle changes. But if we slack off  to much it can just as quickly revert to its prior population, if those changes are abandoned. The key here is balance and being in tune with our body.
