Preparation: 15 minutes


  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 2 Green peppers
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional: onion
  • Sprinkle salt, pepper and paprika
  • You can add sujuk or cheddar cheese
  • Dairy / lactose-free cheese
  • Replace olive oil with coconut oil


  1. Peel the skin off the tomatoes and dice them into small pieces
  2. Dice the green pepper into small pieces
  3. In a pan in low to medium heat, place the olive oil and add the peppers. Once they turn a golden colour add the tomatoes and close the lid for it to simmer in low heat
  4. Crack the eggs into a separate bowl and whisk. After about 3-4 minutes add the eggs to the pan with the salt, pepper and paprika. Once the egg is cooked the menemen is ready to serve
