Ingredients
- 500 grams Okra edges cut off
- 3 Peeled and diced tomatoes
- 1 Diced onion
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 Lemon
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
- Sprinkle salt, pepper and paprika
Alternatives
- You may choose to add pepper paste which will create a different flavour
Method
- Place olive oil and the onion in a saucepan with medium heat. Stir until the onion is golden and add the tomatoes and stir for another 1-2 minutes
- Add the hot water, okra, salt, pepper and paprika and stir
- Close the lid and cook for approximately 20 minutes. Once cooked, add the lemon juice and serve in a bowl
